The Egyptians thought the brain was useless. Also they though the brain was a snot maker. So hear is what they did they had a metal rod with a hook on the end.they would shove the rod up the nose and git all the brains out they could. With the left over brains in the skull they would funnel a chemical though the nose and it would dissolve the rest of the brain in the skull.

What did the egyptions do with the heart during mummification?

The Egyptian left the heart in the body. They did this as a ritual so that the heart would be with them in the afterlife. In the afterlife, the heart was weighed against a feather. This was done in order to see if the Egyptian was good or bad during the first life. If the heart weighed less than the feather, that meant the Egyptian was good. If the heart was heaver that the feather than that meant they were bad in the first life.
